Let's be honest. An awards entry only tells part of the story.
Are brilliant at shouting about themselves.
They're confident, articulate and can write an awards entry that jumps off the page.
But they have an army of supporters who can vouch for them.
Clients, customers and collaborators who have seen their work up close and know exactly how good they are.
That's why we have a public vote. Because every type of business owner matters.
Not everyone can vote.
Integrity is everything at the Flamingo Business Awards. That's why votes may only be cast by people who have first-hand experience of a finalist's business and can genuinely vouch for their work.
If you haven't worked with, bought from or collaborated with a finalist, please don't vote for them. We'd rather have one genuine vote than a hundred empty ones.
Your vote actually counts.
Let's be honest. This isn't a popularity contest. Our expert judges do the heavy lifting, scoring every finalist on impact, innovation, leadership, growth and excellence. But the final 20% is down to you.

If you've worked with them, bought from them or collaborated with them, your vote counts. Integrity matters, so please only vote for finalists you can genuinely vouch for.
Because every type of business owner matters. Some people are brilliant at shouting about themselves and writing an awards entry. Others aren't, but they have an army of supporters who can vouch for their work.
The public vote gives those supporters a voice.
Only if they have first-hand experience of the finalist's business as a client, customer or collaborator. Being a friend or family member on its own doesn't count.
Once per category, per email address. You can vote in all twelve categories in one go.
If the same email votes more than once in a category, only one vote counts.
Not at all. Vote in one, vote in twelve. It's completely up to you.
The public vote makes up 20% of each finalist's final score. The other 80% comes from our expert judging panel.
Friday 6th November at midnight, UK time. Votes after that won't be counted, so don't leave it to the last minute.
Live on stage at the Flamingo Business Awards on Thursday 26th November at Viva Blackpool. No spoilers before then. Not even for us.
